Who do you think you are? I have always been asked this question, and it was usually in a derogatory manner. I grew up in the projects, and if you had a little more than average or even desired anything outside of the norms that we were accustom to then you would be asked this question. As a creative person, I always loved to use my imagination, and, I would spend hours laying in the grass looking at the clouds, thinking about what I would be when I grew up.
Years ago when I heard this question “Who do you think you are,” I would respond with my name, and who my mother was. There were times when I would hear this statement, and get offended, because I wasn’t sure what they were insinuating. However; The Father instantly checked me, and declared: “You don’t have to prove anything to anyone, Who do I say that you are?"
The Father began to remind me of the many times throughout my life I was asked this question , and my response was generic. We have to be specific, and detailed about what, and who God called us to be, and know it for ourselves who we are in GOD. In this season we must know our Identity, and Calling. The spirit of the Lord asked me who do HE say that I am. So I begin to tell Him, I am who You say I am.
As believers, we have to have a true understanding of who we are, and whose we are. In order to know who you are, and whose you are, you must cultivate a relationship with Holy Spirit. The time is out for "kind of, sort of" knowing who you are. We have to be so locked into who we are that no one can ever make us question it again! And when you need a reminder the word of God is full of them, I listed a few below.
WHO DOES HE SAY YOU ARE?
